Located 6.5 miles south of the Central Business District in an Enterprise Zone, Redbird is one of Dallas's most attractive manufacturing and distribution sites. The General Aviation airport facility includes two runways, a 3,800 by 150 foot north/south runway, as well as a 6,452 by 150 foot east/west runway, both equipped with a precision instrument landing system.
On site amenities include a 9,610 square foot terminal building, and FAA contract air traffic control tower, and office, retail, and restaurant facilities. Serving this site is a parking lot with over 300 spaces. The airport currently accommodates 20 percent of the 565,000 flight operations of the four reliever airports for D/FW International Airport, and is capable of more traffic.
